When Toronto homeowners call us for a roofing project, they want one thing above all: a roof that can withstand whatever Mother Nature throws at it. That’s why our team at D’Angelo & Sons installs Euroshield roofing systems—rubber roofs engineered for Canadian weather and certified in accredited testing facilities.
We’ve been on enough rooftops across Toronto, Hamilton, Mississauga, and Vaughan to know that traditional roofing materials like asphalt shingles or clay tiles can fail under heavy rains, wind uplift, and prolonged exposure to UV rays. That’s not the case with Euroshield rubber roofing, which is manufactured from recycled tires and carbon black materials, turning environmentally harmful waste into an affordable permanent roofing solution.
Our crews are fully licensed, insured, and trained in the Euroshield installation process, using premium equipment like pneumatic coil nailers, ridge vent systems, and safety harnesses to ensure both quality and compliance. Every Euroshield roof we install is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, so our clients can sleep soundly knowing their investment is protected.
Benefits of Euroshield Rubber Roofing
A Euroshield rubber roof isn’t just another option on the market—it’s a sustainable roof built to last through extreme weather conditions in Southern Ontario. Here’s what sets it apart:
Industry leading durability – Withstands hail impact, wind driven rain, and high winds up to 190 km/h.
Eco friendly choice – Each installation uses the equivalent of 600–1,000 recycled tires, helping reduce landfill waste.
Superior protection – Rubber shingles resist mold growth, thermal expansion, and damaging ultraviolet rays.
Energy efficiency – Reflective properties help deflect UV radiation, reducing cooling costs in the summer.
Curb appeal – Available in styles like Vermont Slate HP, Rundle Slate, and Beaumont Shake, blending old world European elegance with modern roofing aesthetics.
We’ve seen homeowners save up to 25% on insurance premiums after switching to Euroshield because of its hail proof performance and reduced risk of hail damage claims. It’s not just a roof—it’s a long-term investment in peace of mind.

Euroshield® shingles come with a limited lifetime warranty covering durability and defects in materials. This system prevents hail, wind, and UV damage while extending the life of your roof with industry-leading durability.
Euroshield Products and Features In Toronto
Euroshield’s product line isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s tailored for home and business owners who want both performance and style. Every shingle is independently tested at Canadian facilities to prove its superior wind performance and hail proof rating.
Popular product options include:
Vermont Slate HP – A modern roofing choice with sharp definition, built for wind uplift and long-term warranty coverage.
Rundle Slate – A nod to natural stone, but made from recycled materials, ideal for low slope roofs.
Beaumont Shake – Mimics the old world elegance of cedar shakes without the mold growth or warping.
Each Euroshield shingle is crafted with a proprietary blend of best tire rubber, engineered to resist thermal expansion, UV rays, and prolonged exposure to harsh Canadian elements. They’re designed to fit snugly, lock in tightly, and create curb appeal that rivals traditional roofs while using environmentally responsible practices and leading-edge technology.
Comparison to Other Roofing Materials
Homeowners often ask us: “How does Euroshield stack up against traditional roofs?” The truth is, there’s no real contest.
Asphalt shingles are affordable upfront but last 12–15 years before curling, cracking, or requiring replacement.
Clay tiles and slate shingles look beautiful but come with considerable cost and often need additional structural reinforcement to support their weight.
Wood shakes can warp and rot with prolonged exposure to heavy rains and mold growth.
By contrast, Euroshield rubber shingles offer the durability of slate at a fraction of the weight, the appearance of premium materials without the fragile nature, and the resilience of tire rubber that’s almost indestructible.
Here’s a simple cost comparison we often share with clients:
Roofing Material
Average Lifespan
Cost per Sq. Ft. (installed)

Asphalt Shingles
12–15 years
$4–$6

With Euroshield, homeowners in Toronto get a sustainable roof that doesn’t buckle under extreme weather and provides exceptional service life without the constant upkeep.
Eco-Friendly Rubber Roofing
We’ve all seen the piles of used tires stacked up at recycling depots or, worse, dumped in landfills. Every Euroshield roof we install helps keep those tires out of the environment. In fact, one roof can reuse the equivalent of 600–1,000 rubber tires, turning waste into durable roofing materials that stand the test of time.
The manufacturing process is carried out in Canadian facilities, where rubber tires are shredded, cleaned, and blended with polymer modifiers to create a proprietary roofing product. This process not only reduces landfill waste but also produces an almost indestructible roof with the flexibility to expand and contract under seasonal temperature swings.
What makes Euroshield unique in the roofing industry today is its ability to combine sustainability with style. Homeowners don’t have to settle for “green but plain”—instead, they can choose from products that mimic natural slate or wood shakes while knowing their roof is helping to reduce environmentally harmful waste. That’s a real win-win for curb appeal and conscience.
Extreme Weather Protection
Toronto weather is unpredictable—you can have heavy rains, wind driven rain, hail the size of golf balls, and sudden temperature drops all in the same season. Traditional materials like asphalt shingles or wood shakes often fail under this kind of stress. Euroshield, on the other hand, is engineered as an indestructible roof.
These shingles are independently tested in accredited Canadian facilities for hail impact, wind uplift, and resistance to UV rays. The results are clear: Euroshield products are rated to withstand hail up to 2 inches in diameter and winds exceeding 190 km/h. That’s what we mean by superior protection.
Over the years, we’ve seen families avoid costly hail damage claims because their Euroshield rubber roofing simply shrugged off what would have shredded asphalt shingles. Add to that the shingles’ resistance to mold growth and prolonged exposure to moisture, and you’ve got a system built for Ontario’s harshest conditions.
Easy Installation and Maintenance
If you’ve ever dealt with a messy, drawn-out roofing project, you’ll appreciate how smooth Euroshield installations can be. Our crews at D’Angelo & Sons are trained directly by Euroshield at their manufacturing facilities, so we know the installation process inside and out.
Unlike heavy slate or clay tiles, Euroshield products are lighter, meaning they don’t usually require additional structural reinforcement. That makes them a great choice for both older Toronto homes and new builds. The shingles are flexible and designed to lock together, reducing gaps where wind driven rain or snow could sneak through.
Maintenance is minimal. Unlike traditional roofing materials that crack, curl, or shed granules, Euroshield shingles don’t degrade the same way. Routine inspections—checking flashing, gutters, and vents—are usually enough to keep everything in top shape. For homeowners, that means fewer calls to roofers and less money spent on upkeep over the decades.
Roofing Lifetime Guarantee
When homeowners invest in durable roofing materials, they expect peace of mind. That’s why every Euroshield roof we install comes with a limited lifetime warranty—often considered the best warranty in the business.
Here’s what that means in practice:
Coverage against manufacturing defects for as long as you own your home
Transferable warranty if you sell, which adds resale value
Extended protection for hail impact and extreme weather conditions
Confidence knowing your roof has been independently tested for performance
We’ve replaced enough asphalt shingles after only 12–15 years to know how frustrating premature roof failure can be. With Euroshield, you’re getting a product designed for a 50+ year service life, backed by a warranty that reflects its industry leading durability.
Market Recognition and Home Value
In today’s competitive real estate market, curb appeal isn’t just nice—it’s critical. A Euroshield roof is more than a roofing product; it’s a statement of quality, sustainability, and foresight. Realtors often tell us that homes with Euroshield roofs sell faster and closer to asking price, because buyers understand the value of an almost indestructible roof that won’t need replacing any time soon.
Across North America, Euroshield has gained traction as a leader in modern roofing. Its products have been featured in industry trade shows and backed by certified Canadian manufacturing facilities that set global standards. For homeowners, that translates into trust: they’re choosing a product recognized across the roofing industry today for both performance and sustainability.
Add to that the eco friendly reputation—using recycled materials to make high-performing roofs—and you’re not just protecting your house; you’re boosting its market value. In the GTA, where extreme weather is becoming more frequent, buyers see Euroshield as a smart, future-proof investment.
Cost and Investment in Roof Installation
Installing a Euroshield roof in Toronto typically runs between $10–$14 per square foot, depending on the style (Vermont Slate HP, Rundle Slate, Beaumont Shake) and the complexity of the project. That’s more than asphalt shingles at $4–$6 per square foot but significantly less than natural slate at $25–$35.
Here’s a breakdown:
Roofing Material
Installed Cost (per sq. ft.)
Average Lifespan
Warranty Coverage
Asphalt Shingles
$4–$6
12–15 years
10–20 years
Clay Tiles
$15–$25
40–60 years
30 years
Natural Slate
$25–$35
75–100 years
50 years+
Euroshield Rubber
$10–$14
50+ years
Limited Lifetime
While the upfront investment is higher than asphalt, the math speaks for itself. Over 50 years, most asphalt roofs will need replacing three times, costing $30–$40 per square foot in total. A Euroshield roof? Installed once, warrantied for life, and made from rubber tires that would otherwise become landfill waste.

I needed several windows replaced, a new side door, all siding / soffits / eaves / flashing replaced on the house, and the gables re-sided on my garage. D'Angelo's pricing was competitive - add to which, windows and doors are manufactured locally and working with a single service provider to coordinate all the activity rather than try to do that myself was really convenient.

D'Angelo and Sons did my roof last year and I was very pleased; they were well organized, came when scheduled and worked quickly. The roof looks great. This year, a storm damaged my roof. Carlos Vassallo came out and assessed the damage quickly and gave me an estimate. After dealing with the insurance company for months, we finally got the go ahead...

I am very pleased with the repair to my window capping that Steve F did today. He did excellent work and took the time to fix the problem and make it look fantastic. The problem was more complicated than it looked and he was careful to both protect my siding and windows as well as replace the capping perfectly. I would also like to thank the receptionist at D'Angelo...

We recently made the decision to fully replace our roof after losing many shingles to a windstorm. D'Angelo & Sons was very prompt in their response to our query and we had an appointment for an estimate a few days later. David was great; he was punctual and friendly. He patiently explained to us the condition of our roof and showed us pictures so we could see for ourselves. We feel secure in our decision in choosing D'Angelo & Sons for our new roof.

When we set out to replace our roof this year, we vowed not to make the same mistakes we did the first time. We researched, asked multiple questions, and Glenn was always there for us and happy to answer any questions we had. There are many, many roofers out there, and choosing D'Angelo was the best choice we could have made. The crew was pleasant and efficient, and also happy to answer any question. We would highly recommend D'Angelo to anyone that asks. I'll be calling Glenn in the spring to discuss our eaves and fascia!

My experience with D'Angelo and Sons was altogether positive. From my initial contact with Taylor, we were set up with an appointment with Josh two days later who gave us a full overview of what was needed and the cost. We had two other estimates and found D'Angelo to be comparable in price for the work that needed to be done. They estimated the project would start within 2-3 weeks dependent on weather and their projected timeline was accurate. Jenn was our project manager and she maintain a high level of communication with us throughout the project to ensure that we were aware of what was happening. From first contact with the company to the completion of the project, there was a high level of communication and transparency in the work they were doing. It's been almost 8 weeks since the project was complete and we've been through several significant weather events without issue. I appreciated the level of customer service that was provided by Taylor, Josh and Jenn (and roofing team) and their level of communication throughout the project.

My sincere thanks to Steve (Sales) for your patience with all our questions and Brad (PM) for keeping us in the loop every step of the way. Chad, you and your crew did a great job to get the siding replaced and the work area cleaned up, before our backyard birthday party as promised. Rocky - thanks for going the extra mile to make sure the lighting was done just right!
This is our second project with D'Angelo & Sons, which again, was delivered the project on time and on budget. More important than the asthetic improvement from the new siding (which you were right about, Steve!), the house is noticably more comfortable inside, due to the air barrier and insulation added.
If I hear of anyone looking for a good contractor for roofing or siding work, I will definitely recommend D'Angelo & Sons.

We had a massive project on our 3 storey 130year old Victorian Home. Roof replacement, siding, windows, soffits, fascia, eavestrough and other cladding and capping as required.
The crews arrived on time, they worked safe at heights and steep roof pitches, they were kind & courteous, and cleaned up after each job was complete.
As a home inspector, I found the workmanship to be top notch and would recommend them to any of my clients if they required work to their home.
