    Guarantee Details

    Classic Series

    These guarantees are provided by D’Angelo and Sons Construction LTD. They are in addition to any applicable manufacturer warranties. Please consult your manufacturer’s warranty for additional coverage details. This document is available for review at the time of contracting with D’Angelo and Sons.

    ‍Guarantees

    • Workmanship Guarantee – D’Angelo and Sons guarantees that all installation work will be free from defects due to workmanship for 10 years from the date of installation.
    • Glass Panel Guarantee – If a glass panel in a window installed by D’Angelo and Sons is accidentally broken, we will provide a replacement panel at no cost to you for 5 years from the date of installation.
    • Screen Mesh Guarantee – If the screen mesh of a window screen installed by D’Angelo and Sons is accidentally torn, we will replace the screen mesh at no charge for 5 years from the date of installation. Note: This guarantee does not cover damage to the screen frame.

    How to submit a claim »

    Important: Claims must be submitted promptly after discovery of the issue and within the guarantee period. A service fee may apply for non-guarantee claims or if the issue is not covered. Fees will be disclosed before scheduling an inspection.

    ‍Limitations of Liability
    Our liability under these guarantees is limited to the original purchase price paid for the products and services. We are not responsible for:

    • incidental or consequential damages unless required by law.
    • Pre-existing conditions, homeowner negligence, or damage caused by lack of maintenance.
    • Damage covered by or typically covered under a homeowner’s insurance policy.
    • Issues related to hazardous materials such as mold, asbestos, or lead.

    Note: Some exclusions may not apply in certain jurisdictions. This warranty provides specific legal rights, and you may have other rights under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

    What Voids These Guarantees
    These guarantees will be voided if:

    • Products are altered, repaired, or reinstalled by someone other than D’Angelo and Sons.
    • Full payment under the original sales agreement, including any addenda, has not been received.

    Screen Mesh Replacement Requirements
    For screen mesh guarantee claims:

    • The screen mesh must be brought to our office for repair.
    • If transportation assistance is required, shipping or pickup services may be arranged for an additional fee

    Remedies
    If we determine a replacement is needed and the original product is no longer available, we will provide a replacement of equivalent quality. Replacement does not renew the guarantee period. If we issue a refund at our discretion, all further guarantees under this agreement will be considered fulfilled.

    • Screen Mesh Damage – If a window screen mesh installed by D’Angelo and Sons is accidentally torn, D’Angelo and Sons will replace the screen mesh free of charge. This coverage applies to the screen mesh only and does not include the screen frame.

    • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, accidents, or conditions covered under your homeowner’s insurance.

    • Minor color or texture variations between product lots.
    • Damage resulting from hazardous materials, such as mold, asbestos, or lead.
    • Repairs, tampering, or installation by unauthorized parties, which voids this warranty.

    Limitations of Liability
    D’Angelo and Sons’ liability under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price paid under the sales agreement. D’Angelo and Sons shall not be liable for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages, except as prohibited by Ontario law. This warranty provides specific legal rights. Additional rights may vary depending on your jurisdiction.

    Warranty Transfer
    This warranty is transferable once to a subsequent homeowner, subject to the following conditions:

    • Initiating the Transfer
    • Contact D’Angelo and Sons at (905) 387-3000 to request a Warranty Transfer Application Form.
    • Transfer Timing and Fees
      • If the application is submitted within 90 days of the home sale, the transfer is free, subject to inspection or a waiver of inspection by D’Angelo and Sons.
      • For applications submitted after 90 days, a transfer fee of 10% of the original contract price will apply.
      • Provide proof of the home sale, such as a fully executed sale agreement or land title transfer documentation.

    Limitations of Liability
    D’Angelo and Sons’ liability under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price paid under the sales agreement. D’Angelo and Sons shall not be liable for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages, except as prohibited by Ontario law. This warranty provides specific legal rights.     Please submit your claim promptly after discovering the defect. Include a detailed description and any supporting photographs of the issue. If an inspection is necessary, D’Angelo and Sons may charge a disclosed service fee, which will be communicated to you beforehand.

    D’Angelo and Sons will respond to your claim within a reasonable timeframe and, if required, schedule an inspection of the premises. Should replacement be necessary, and the original product is no longer available, D’Angelo and Sons reserves the right to substitute a product of comparable quality. Replacement of any product does not extend the warranty period.

    I needed several windows replaced, a new side door, all siding / soffits / eaves / flashing replaced on the house, and the gables re-sided on my garage. D'Angelo's pricing was competitive - add to which, windows and doors are manufactured locally and working with a single service provider to coordinate all the activity rather than try to do that myself was really convenient.

    We recently made the decision to fully replace our roof after losing many shingles to a windstorm.     When we set out to replace our roof this year, we vowed not to make the same mistakes we did the first time. We researched, asked multiple questions, and Glenn was always there for us and happy to answer any questions we had. There are many, many roofers out there, and choosing D'Angelo was the best choice we could have made. The crew was pleasant and efficient, and also happy to answer any question.     My experience with D'Angelo and Sons was altogether positive. From my initial contact with Taylor, we were set up with an appointment with Josh two days later who gave us a full overview of what was needed and the cost. We had two other estimates and found D'Angelo to be comparable in price for the work that needed to be done. They estimated the project would start within 2-3 weeks dependent on weather and their projected timeline was accurate. Jenn was our project manager and she maintain a high level of communication with us throughout the project to ensure that we were aware of what was happening. From first contact with the company to the completion of the project, there was a high level of communication and transparency in the work they were doing. It's been almost 8 weeks since the project was complete and we've been through several significant weather events without issue. I appreciated the level of customer service that was provided by Taylor, Josh and Jenn (and roofing team) and their level of communication throughout the project.

    My sincere thanks to Steve (Sales) for your patience with all our questions and Brad (PM) for keeping us in the loop every step of the way. Chad, you and your crew did a great job to get the siding replaced and the work area cleaned up, before our backyard birthday party as promised. Rocky - thanks for going the extra mile to make sure the lighting was done just right! This is our second project with D'Angelo & Sons, which again, was delivered the project on time and on budget. More important than the asthetic improvement from the new siding (which you were right about, Steve!), the house is noticably more comfortable inside, due to the air barrier and insulation added. If I hear of anyone looking for a good contractor for roofing or siding work, I will definitely recommend D'Angelo & Sons.

    We had a massive project on our 3 storey 130year old Victorian Home. Roof replacement, siding, windows, soffits, fascia, eavestrough and other cladding and capping as required. The crews arrived on time, they worked safe at heights and steep roof pitches, they were kind & courteous, and cleaned up after each job was complete. As a home inspector, I found the workmanship to be top notch and would recommend them to any of my clients if they required work to their home.
