0% Financing, Rewards, and Full Bin Service for Stress-Free Projects

Oakville roofing has to handle Lake Ontario winds, winter freeze-thaw cycles, summer heat, mature trees, and homes ranging from lakeside properties to newer north-end builds. D’Angelo & Sons is a family-owned roofing and exterior company, serving Oakville homeowners, commercial customers, and the wider Halton and GTA area with practical recommendations and clear workmanship standards.

Our team works across Bronte, Old Oakville, Kerr Village, Glen Abbey, River Oaks, Joshua Creek, West Oak Trails, Clearview, College Park, and nearby business corridors. We inspect the roof structure, attic signs, skylights, gutters, siding connections, and visible problem areas before recommending repair, replacement, or maintenance.

We help homeowners and property managers make confident decisions, whether the project is a small roof repair, a full replacement, a flat roof section, a new roof for a renovation, or exterior upgrades planned with the roof.

Our certified roof inspectors conduct detailed assessments to determine the most appropriate and cost-effective remedy. When installation is required, we provide a no-charge evaluation and clear recommendations.

Every project concludes with a thorough cleanup, and we offer emergency roof repair services when urgent issues arise. Before We Quote, We Find the Reason the Roof Is Failing

A proper inspection should answer why the problem is happening, not simply point to the visible stain or missing shingle. Our initial consultation includes a thorough inspection and thorough assessment of shingles, flashing, valleys, skylights, roof edges, vents, attic signs, gutters, and exterior transitions so the recommendation matches the real cause.

Shingle Wear, Wind Damage, and Surface Aging

Curling shingles, missing shingles, exposed fasteners, granule loss, lifted edges, and soft areas can all shorten roof life. In Oakville, lake wind and freeze-thaw movement can make a small weak point worse before it becomes obvious from inside the home.

Skylights, Flashing, Gutters, and Wall Details

Many roof leak concerns start at the details. Skylight curbs, chimney flashing, step flashing, vents, gutters, fascia, and roof-to-wall transitions need close inspection because water often travels before it becomes visible indoors. When requested, we can document findings in a detailed report for repairs, planning, or insurance claims.

Attic Airflow and Interior Warning Signs

Attic frost, damp insulation, dark roof decking, mould odours, uneven snow melt, and ceiling stains can point to ventilation, structural integrity, or roof performance concerns. These clues help decide whether a repair is enough or whether the roofing system needs a larger correction and the right solution for the house.

    Our Wide Range Of Services

D’Angelo & Sons provides roofing services and exterior services for residential and commercial properties, backed by decades in the roofing industry, so the building can be reviewed as one roof and one connected system. Our roofing contractors review roof replacement needs, roofing systems, siding, soffit, fascia, gutters, skylights, insulation, and exterior trim because each part affects how well the property handles weather.

    Urgent Repairs and Maintenance

Emergency repairs may be needed after high winds, fallen branches, sudden leaks, or storm damage. Preventive maintenance can address loose flashing, damaged vents, weak sealant, aging shingles, missing shingles, or small openings before water reaches the interior.

New Roofs, Replacements, and Upgrade Planning

A new roof or complete replacement may be the better choice when shingles are failing in several areas, leaks keep returning, or the roof deck needs more than a patch. We explain the materials, timing, cleanup, warranty, current promotions, and payment options before the installation begins.

Flat Roof Sections, Metal Roofing, and Premium Systems

Oakville properties may include low-slope additions, garage roofs, commercial roofs, flat roofs, or mixed roof designs. Flat roofing needs careful detail work, while metal roofing can offer durability and a clean architectural look when the home or building is suited to it.

Siding, Gutters, Skylights, and Exterior Renovations

Siding, gutters, soffit, fascia, skylights, and exterior renovation work can improve curb appeal while helping the roof perform better. When these systems are aging together, a coordinated plan can reduce disruption and create a cleaner finished exterior.

Quality Materials That Ensure Permanent Home Protection

The best roof for a Bronte lakeside home may not be the same answer for a Glen Abbey detached house, a River Oaks townhome, or a commercial roof near Speers Road. D’Angelo & Sons works with quality materials, roofing materials, and trusted roofing and exterior brands such as GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, IKO, Siplast, GAF EverGuard TPO, Gentek, James Hardie, Velux skylights, and Alu-Rex gutter protection.

We look at slope, roof structure, ventilation, exposure, design goals, product warranty, roofing needs, and budget before recommending asphalt shingles, architectural shingles, roofing systems, flat roofs, metal roofing, skylights, siding, or exterior renovation work. The goal is a roof that protects the property, supports curb appeal and energy efficiency, and is built with exceptional craftsmanship and expert craftsmanship for long-term performance.

Matching Roofing Systems to Your Property Layout

Oakville has lakeside streets, mature-tree neighbourhoods, executive homes, townhomes, newer subdivisions, and commercial areas. We do not treat every roof the same because each area has unique challenges, and age, access, shade, slope, roof shape, and exterior details all change the best recommendation.

Bronte, Lakeshore Woods, and Waterfront Exposure

Homes closer to Lake Ontario can face wind, moisture, and fast weather changes. These properties often need careful checks around shingles, roof edges, skylights, fascia, gutters, and flashing where wind-driven rain can find small openings.

Old Oakville, Kerr Village, and South Oakville Homes

Older homes can have mature trees, chimneys, layered repairs, older sheathing, steep roof shapes, and detailed exterior trim. These roofs often need a careful explanation of what can be repaired and what may be reaching the end of its useful life.

Glen Abbey and River Oaks Homes

Many established suburban homes have attached garages, larger roof planes, long valleys, and attic airflow needs. A long-lasting result often depends on both the roof surface and the hidden conditions under it.

Joshua Creek, Clearview, and North Oakville Builds

Newer homes and townhomes can still develop issues if ventilation, installation details, skylights, or exterior transitions are not working properly. These properties may need repairs, architectural shingles, or upgrades that match modern roof designs.

Commercial Roofs Near Speers, QEW, and Business Corridors

Commercial and industrial properties may include flat roofs, rooftop units, low-slope sections, and access planning. The work should account for staff, customers, tenants, safety areas, and scheduling before the crew arrives.

Town Permits and Regulations to Confirm

The Town of Oakville notes that most renovation, construction, or demolition projects require a building permit, but re-shingling a roof is listed among work that does not require a permit. A permit may be needed for roof extensions, height or slope changes, skylights, solar panels, rooftop HVAC replacements, new or enlarged windows, and re-cladding with a new material.

Before work begins, homeowners should confirm whether the planned scope is simple maintenance or a change that needs approval. D’Angelo & Sons can help identify when a question should be checked with the town so the roofing project moves forward with fewer surprises.

    Roofing Costs in Oakville

Roofing cost in Oakville depends on several factors, including roof size, slope, access, number of layers, deck condition, ventilation, roofing materials, warranty level, skylights, gutters, siding work, and whether emergency repairs are needed. Prices vary based on the property, and these ranges are planning examples in Canadian dollars, not final pricing.

Work type Example cost range What affects the price
Minor shingle, vent, or flashing repair $300 – $1,200 Wind damage, lifted shingles, pipe boots, exposed nails, or a small leak area.
Leak tracing and repair $500 – $1,800 Skylights, chimney flashing, valleys, roof-to-wall details, and interior stains.
Flat or low-slope roof repair $900 – $3,000 Membrane seams, ponding water, rooftop details, edge metal, or small commercial roof sections.
Partial roofing section $2,000 – $6,000 Garage roofs, storm-damaged roof planes, additions, or worn sections that failed early.
Full asphalt shingle replacement $9,000 – $22,000+ Roof size, slope, access, old layers, decking, ventilation, warranty, and material choice.
Metal or premium roofing upgrade $20,000 – $48,000+ Metal panels, premium shingles, custom flashing, complex roof shapes, and long-life systems.

Every property is different. For a clearer number and affordable prices tied to the actual scope, request a free estimate so the roof can be inspected and the scope, roofing materials, warranty, and timeline can be explained before work begins.

How Your Roofing Project Progresses From Start to Finish

A roofing project should feel organized from the first call through cleanup. Homeowners should receive a detailed quote, understand what was found, why the work is recommended, how the installation will be handled, and what happens if hidden damage appears.

Inspect the roof, attic clues, skylights, gutters, siding connections, and visible problem areas.

Explain whether repair, maintenance, partial work, or replacement makes the most sense.

Provide a free estimate with materials, warranty, timing, bin service, cleanup, and payment details.

Complete the work with trained crews, safe practices, quality workmanship, and a final inspection.

Review the finished job, clean the site, and make sure the homeowner knows what was completed.

Year-Round Roof Care for Homes and Businesses

Regular inspections and routine maintenance help catch small issues before they become expensive. After high winds or heavy rain, look for missing shingles, loose flashing, overflowing gutters, branches on the roof, and new stains inside. Before winter, check that attic ventilation appears balanced and that roof edges are clear. After winter, watch for cracked sealant, lifted shingles, and signs that freeze-thaw movement opened weak points.

    People Also Ask:

    1. How long do roofing systems typically last in Oakville’s climate?

Oakville’s lakefront humidity, strong winds, and freeze-thaw cycles influence durability. Asphalt shingles generally last 20–30 years, while premium architectural systems or metal roofing materials can exceed 40 years when installed with expert craftsmanship. We prioritize quality materials and proper ventilation to maximize long-term performance.

    2. What warning signs indicate a developing roof leak?

Common indicators include water stains on ceilings, lifted shingles, granule loss, cracked flashing, or sagging rooflines. Addressing small issues early prevents structural damage. Our licensed and insured roofing contractors assess the full system to protect your house from further deterioration.

    3. Do you handle both commercial and residential roofing projects?

Yes, our roofing business specializes in commercial and residential roofing across Oakville. Whether repairing a family home or managing a larger commercial property, we deliver exceptional craftsmanship and tailored solutions designed for long-term durability.

    4. How often should Oakville roofs be inspected?

We recommend professional inspections twice annually and after major storms. Regular evaluations help identify hidden moisture damage and ventilation issues before they escalate into costly repairs.

    5. Are your roofing contractors fully licensed and insured?

Absolutely. Our team is fully licensed and fully insured, providing peace of mind for every project. We stand behind our work with a workmanship guarantee focused on customer satisfaction and long-term reliability.

    6. Can you assist with insurance claims after storm damage?

Yes. We document damage, prepare comprehensive reports, and support homeowners through insurance claims to ensure accurate evaluation and fair coverage for necessary repairs or replacement.

    7. What is included in a complete roof replacement?

A complete replacement includes removal of existing roofing materials, deck inspection, underlayment installation, ventilation upgrades, new shingles or panels, and thorough cleanup. We prioritize quality at every stage to ensure one roof system performs seamlessly.

    8. Are your services competitively priced?

We offer affordable prices without compromising quality. Costs vary based on material choice and structural condition, but our detailed quote ensures transparency and no hidden surprises.

    9. What roofing materials perform best in Oakville?

High-quality asphalt shingles remain popular for residential roofing due to balance between cost and durability. Premium architectural shingles and metal systems provide enhanced wind resistance and longevity suited for Oakville’s lakeside conditions.

    10. How do you ensure customer satisfaction on every project?

We combine expert craftsmanship, quality materials, and clear communication throughout the project. From inspection to final cleanup, our roofing contractors prioritize quality and maintain consistent service standards to exceed customer expectations.

I needed several windows replaced, a new side door, all siding / soffits / eaves / flashing replaced on the house, and the gables re-sided on my garage. D'Angelo's pricing was competitive - add to which, windows and doors are manufactured locally and working with a single service provider to coordinate all the activity rather than try to do that myself was really convenient.

D'Angelo and Sons did my roof last year and I was very pleased; they were well organized, came when scheduled and worked quickly. The roof looks great. This year, a storm damaged my roof. Carlos Vassallo came out and assessed the damage quickly and gave me an estimate. After dealing with the insurance company for months, we finally got the go ahead...

I am very pleased with the repair to my window capping that Steve F did today. He did excellent work and took the time to fix the problem and make it look fantastic. The problem was more complicated than it looked and he was careful to both protect my siding and windows as well as replace the capping perfectly. I would also like to thank the receptionist at D'Angelo...

We recently made the decision to fully replace our roof after losing many shingles to a windstorm. D'Angelo & Sons was very prompt in their response to our query and we had an appointment for an estimate a few days later. David was great; he was punctual and friendly. He patiently explained to us the condition of our roof and showed us pictures so we could see for ourselves. We feel secure in our decision in choosing D'Angelo & Sons for our new roof.

When we set out to replace our roof this year, we vowed not to make the same mistakes we did the first time. We researched, asked multiple questions, and Glenn was always there for us and happy to answer any questions we had. There are many, many roofers out there, and choosing D'Angelo was the best choice we could have made. The crew was pleasant and efficient, and also happy to answer any question. We would highly recommend D'Angelo to anyone that asks. I'll be calling Glenn in the spring to discuss our eaves and fascia!

My experience with D'Angelo and Sons was altogether positive. From my initial contact with Taylor, we were set up with an appointment with Josh two days later who gave us a full overview of what was needed and the cost. We had two other estimates and found D'Angelo to be comparable in price for the work that needed to be done. They estimated the project would start within 2-3 weeks dependent on weather and their projected timeline was accurate. Jenn was our project manager and she maintain a high level of communication with us throughout the project to ensure that we were aware of what was happening. From first contact with the company to the completion of the project, there was a high level of communication and transparency in the work they were doing. It's been almost 8 weeks since the project was complete and we've been through several significant weather events without issue. I appreciated the level of customer service that was provided by Taylor, Josh and Jenn (and roofing team) and their level of communication throughout the project.

My sincere thanks to Steve (Sales) for your patience with all our questions and Brad (PM) for keeping us in the loop every step of the way. Chad, you and your crew did a great job to get the siding replaced and the work area cleaned up, before our backyard birthday party as promised. Rocky - thanks for going the extra mile to make sure the lighting was done just right! This is our second project with D'Angelo & Sons, which again, was delivered the project on time and on budget. More important than the asthetic improvement from the new siding (which you were right about, Steve!), the house is noticably more comfortable inside, due to the air barrier and insulation added. If I hear of anyone looking for a good contractor for roofing or siding work, I will definitely recommend D'Angelo & Sons.

We had a massive project on our 3 storey 130year old Victorian Home. Roof replacement, siding, windows, soffits, fascia, eavestrough and other cladding and capping as required. The crews arrived on time, they worked safe at heights and steep roof pitches, they were kind & courteous, and cleaned up after each job was complete. As a home inspector, I found the workmanship to be top notch and would recommend them to any of my clients if they required work to their home.
