Mississauga’s Trusted Roofing Company Since 1978

D’Angelo & Sons is a family-owned roofing company that has served Mississauga since 1978, and after more than four decades the same standards still guide every roofing job. We are the roofers homeowners and property managers call for roof repair, roof replacement, and roof inspection across residential and commercial properties, and our own crews handle each roof from the first inspection to the final cleanup — we never hand your roofing project to subcontractors. That continuity is why so much of our roofing work comes from repeat customers and referrals: the quality of the workmanship does not drift from one job to the next. As a GAF Master Elite roofing contractor, our company installs roofing systems that most roofers in the area are not certified to warranty, and we back every roof with a written warranty. From minor roof repairs to a complete new roof, our Mississauga roofing services cover the full range of roofing needs, and decades in the roofing industry stand behind every roofing job. Our skilled team of certified professionals brings hands on experience to each roof, and a long record of quality workmanship and customer satisfaction keeps homeowners coming back.

Roof Repair for Leaks and Storm Damage

Most roof repair calls in Mississauga start at a single detail — a lifted shingle, a tired vent boot, a failed flashing line — and water travels a long way before a stain ever shows on the ceiling. Our roofers trace each leak back to its real entry point, complete quality repairs where the roof is otherwise sound, and tell you honestly when repeated leaks mean a roof replacement is the smarter spend. After wind or a storm, loose and lifted shingles let water move under the roofing and into the attic, so fast roof repairs protect the property before the damage spreads. Our roofing company prices repairs honestly and recommends a roof replacement only when repairs no longer make sense. Common roof repairs we handle include:

    • Wind-lifted, cracked, or missing shingles after a storm
    • Leak repairs at flashing, valleys, and roof-to-wall transitions
    • Failed pipe boots, roof vents, and skylight seals
    • Chimney flashing and masonry-related roof leaks
    • Ponding, blistered seams, and splits on flat roofing
    • Ice dams that back water up under the shingles
    • Storm and hail damage documented for insurance claims

    One-Stop Roofing and Exterior Services

Because water problems rarely stop at the shingles, most homeowners keep our roofing company for the whole exterior — one crew, one point of contact, and one warranty covering how the parts work together. Our roofing services reach beyond the roof: bundle three or more services, such as a roof replacement with new eavestroughs and attic insulation, and you save up to 15% by sharing setup, access, and cleanup instead of paying for them twice. Alongside roofing, our roofers handle eavestrough, soffit and fascia, siding, skylight installation, chimney and masonry repairs, and attic insulation, so a single roofing project can bring an aging exterior back to standard. That one-team approach also protects the roof, because siding, drainage, and ventilation all affect how long the roofing lasts — and it lets one roofing company answer a wide range of roofing needs in a single visit. For a home renovation or a single upgrade, we design tailored solutions that make the property more energy efficient, including attic insulation top ups.

Why a Mississauga Roof Inspection Matters

A proper Mississauga roof inspection is never a glance from the driveway, because the city’s housing stock is varied enough that no two roofs age the same way. A lakeside home battles wind-driven rain and exposed edges; an older bungalow may hide worn decking under layered repairs; a large home in the west end carries steep slopes, skylights, and long valleys where water pools. A careful roof inspection reads the roof and the attic beneath it together, so the roofing recommendation fits your house instead of a template — and it often catches small problems while they are still quick repairs, not a full roof replacement. Every inspection ends with clear photos, honest findings, and a free estimate for any roofing work.

    Roofs Near Lake Ontario

In Port Credit, Lakeview, Clarkson, and parts of Lorne Park, wind and rain off the lake find weak edges, worn shingles, and lifted flashing quickly. Water rarely follows a straight line here, so our roofers inspect edges, valleys, vents, skylights, fascia, and wall transitions rather than only the spot below a visible stain. A single open area can let water reach the roofing and the attic, so early repairs matter.

    Older Streets With Mature Trees

Across Mineola, Cooksville, Applewood, Erindale, and Streetsville, mature trees drop leaves that hold moisture in valleys and eavestroughs, while shade slows drying after rain. Many of these homes also sit on a second or third roof layer that can hide deck problems until the old roofing comes off, so the inspection looks well past the surface before we recommend repairs or a roof replacement.

    Newer Subdivisions and Townhomes

In Churchill Meadows, Lisgar, Meadowvale, East Credit, and Central Erin Mills, larger roof surfaces and multiple planes need balanced attic airflow. Without the right ventilation and insulation, these roofing systems are prone to ice dams, condensation, and uneven shingle wear, so the inspection covers the roof and the attic conditions below it together.

What Our Roofers Check on Every Roof

Good roofing starts with an honest diagnosis, so before recommending a roof repair or a complete roof replacement, our roofing team checks the details that decide whether a fix will actually hold and how long the roof has left.

    Shingles and Roof Surface

On a shingle roof we look for cracked, curled, bruised, or missing shingles, granule loss in the eavestroughs, and exposed nails or poor alignment. Asphalt shingles perform well for years, but only when the underlayment, ventilation, and drainage beneath them are doing their job, so surface wear guides whether repairs or replacement is the better call.

    Flashing, Valleys, and Roof Details

Most leaks begin at the details, so our roofers inspect valleys, drip edge, vents, pipe boots, chimneys, skylights, and step and wall flashing. Flat roofing gets a different eye — membrane seams, ponding, and edge metal — because the right roof repairs depend on how water moves across the surface.

    Attic and Interior Warning Signs

Inside the home, ceiling stains, damp insulation, attic frost, dark decking, or a musty smell all point back to a roofing or ventilation problem that quietly shortens the life of the roof and leads to further damage if the repairs are put off.

    Comprehensive Roofing Solutions in Mississauga

We provide comprehensive roofing solutions for residential and commercial properties — roof repair, complete roof replacement, flat roofing and metal roofing systems, eavestrough, siding, soffit, fascia, skylight installation, and attic insulation. The advantage of one experienced roofing company is that the roof is assessed as part of the whole property, not as an isolated surface, so the quality roofing solutions our roofing contractors recommend fit the building and the budget rather than a one-size template. From the first call to the final walkthrough, our roofing services in Mississauga are built on real customer satisfaction and workmanship you can see.

    Roof Repairs Done Right

Not every roof needs replacing, and choosing the right roofing company means getting an honest answer. A focused roof repair or partial shingle replacement is the right call for missing shingles, a damaged vent, cracked caulking, or storm damage on a single plane — as long as the repairs match the real entry point and the age of the roofing around them. Quality repairs done early prevent further damage and save a full replacement later.

    Complete Roof Replacement and Installation

A complete roof replacement is the better decision once a roof shows widespread wear, recurring leaks, soft decking, or poor ventilation. Our roof installation covers safe tear-off, deck inspection, underlayment, ice-and-water shield, new flashing, a ventilation review, clean shingle installation, disposal, and cleanup — a long-lasting roof depends on quality material and workmanship at every step of the roofing project.

    Flat Roofing and Low-Slope Systems

Garages, additions, porches, and commercial roofing units rely on a flat roof or low-slope system where slope, drainage, and seam quality decide everything. Our roofers work in TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen, and handle repairs for ponding, open seams, and blisters before they reach the interior.

    Metal Roofing for Long-Term Value

Metal roofing suits owners who want durability, clean lines, and a long, energy-efficient roof on custom homes, larger detached homes, and commercial buildings. It is a complete roofing system, so the underlayment, edges, and fastening all have to be installed correctly by roofers who know the product.

    Eavestrough, Soffit, and Siding

Overflowing eavestroughs keep roof edges wet, blocked soffits trap attic heat and moisture, and poorly integrated wall flashing can make a siding leak look like a roof leak. Combining these repairs with the roofing gives the property cleaner, longer-lasting protection.

Roofing Systems Built for Ontario Weather

A Mississauga roof has to shrug off Mississauga’s weather — snow load, driving rain, summer heat, and repeated freeze-thaw swings — so using the best materials matters as much as the workmanship. Since 1978 our roofing company has helped owners choose roofing systems that fit the building and the budget, and one of the key advantages of high quality material and a properly ventilated build is a long lasting roof that delivers long term protection. Depending on the property and your roofing needs, our roofers install and maintain:

    • Architectural asphalt shingles for most residential roofing
    • Standing-seam and metal roofing for durability and clean lines
    • TPO, EPDM, and modified-bitumen membranes for flat roofing
    • Ice-and-water shield and upgraded underlayment at vulnerable areas
    • Balanced attic insulation and ventilation to hold off ice dams

    Roof Replacement Costs in Mississauga

Roofing costs depend on roof size, slope, access, the number of old layers, decking condition, ventilation, roofing materials, and warranty level. These are planning ranges in Canadian dollars; a free estimate after a roof inspection is the most accurate way to price the property, and every quote from our roofing company is itemized so you can see where the money goes on repairs or a full roof replacement.

    Roofing job Typical range (CAD)
Small roof repair (shingles, vent, pipe boot) $250 – $900
Flashing, chimney, skylight, or valley repairs $400 – $1,800
    Flat roof / low-slope partial repair $750 – $2,500
    Storm-damaged section or partial roof plane $1,800 – $5,500
Complete asphalt shingle roof replacement $8,500 – $20,000+
    Metal roofing from ~$18,000

Larger homes, steep slopes, complex valleys, several old layers, and damaged decking push a roof replacement toward the higher end, while a straightforward re-shingle sits lower. Financing with 0% options is available, and free quotes let you weigh roof repairs against a full replacement before you commit to any roofing work.

    Roofing Permits and Heritage Rules

Many standard re-shingling projects in Mississauga need no building permit, but roof extensions, changes to height or slope, new skylights, solar panels, and structural roofing work can require approvals. If a roofing project changes more than the surface material, our company confirms what applies before the crew starts, so the roofing work stays compliant.

    Heritage and Conservation Areas

Some homes in Streetsville, Old Port Credit Village, and Meadowvale Village need extra care because of heritage designations or conservation-district rules about visible roofing materials. The roof can still be replaced — the materials and details are simply chosen to suit, and any approvals are handled first.

    Drainage and Property Protection

Eavestrough and drainage work may not need a permit, but water still has to move safely away from the foundation. Our roofers protect the property through tear-off and confirm drainage is directed correctly before we consider the roofing job finished.

Our Roof Installation Process, Step by Step

Every roof replacement and set of roof repairs follows the same clear installation process, handled by a professional team, so you always know what happens next:

    1. Inspection and conversation — our roofers listen to what you have noticed, then inspect the roof, drainage, flashing, and attic signs.
    2. Clear findings — we explain whether the issue is repairs, whether a complete roof replacement is more practical, and what happens if it is left alone.
    3. Free written estimate — the quote covers scope, roofing materials, timeline, disposal, warranty, and related ventilation or eavestrough work.
    4. Professional roof installation — our own crew completes the approved roofing work with attention to safety, weather protection, and quality workmanship.
    5. Cleanup and final walkthrough — we clear the site, run a magnetic nail sweep, review the finished roof with you, and hand over the warranty.

    Roofers Serving Mississauga Neighbourhoods

Our roofing company covers the whole city with roofing solutions matched to the neighbourhood, the building, and the way water moves around each property. Wherever you are in the Mississauga area, our roofing contractors bring the same quality work and excellent workmanship to every roofing job, giving property owners across the city free quotes and dependable results.

Port Credit, Lakeview, Clarkson & Lorne Park

Homes closer to the water face stronger wind, driven rain, and exposed roof edges. Roof repairs here often involve shingles, flashing, skylights, and wind-lifted roofing, and a lasting fix accounts for that exposure at the edge.

Mineola, Cooksville, Applewood, Erindale & Streetsville

Older properties on leafy streets need careful attention around valleys, chimneys, skylights, and eavestroughs, and many carry older roof layers. Several are ready for a complete roof replacement once a few parts of the roof begin failing together.

Erin Mills, Meadowvale, Lisgar, East Credit & Churchill Meadows

Many homes here have larger roof surfaces, complex valleys, and real attic-ventilation needs. A durable roof depends on balanced airflow, careful shingle installation, strong flashing, and the clean drainage our roofers build in.

Hurontario, Dixie, Dundas, Airport Road & the 401

Properties near these corridors include flat roofing, plaza units, and multi-unit commercial roofing that needs roofing contractors who plan around access, safety, drainage, and a site that stays in daily use.

    Mississauga Roofing FAQs

Do I need a permit to replace shingles in Mississauga?

A standard re-shingling job usually does not require a building permit. One may be needed if the roofing work changes structure, height, or slope, or adds skylights or solar panels, and heritage properties can carry extra approvals — our roofing company confirms what applies before starting.

How much does a roof replacement cost in Mississauga?

Many asphalt shingle roof replacements land around $8,500 to $20,000 or more, roughly $4 to $8 per square foot. The final cost depends on roof size, slope, access, layers, decking, ventilation, and roofing materials, so the accurate number comes from a free estimate after a roof inspection.

Can my roof be repaired instead of replaced?

Often, yes. A damaged vent, localized flashing failure, or a small leak are frequently quick repairs. A complete roof replacement becomes the better call when the roof shows widespread wear, repeated leaks, soft decking, or several failing areas at once.

Which roofing materials hold up best in Mississauga?

Architectural asphalt shingles are the common choice for balancing cost, look, and performance. Metal roofing is strong where long-term durability matters, and a flat roof needs membrane systems designed for drainage and Ontario weather.

Roof Maintenance Tips for Mississauga Homes

    • After a storm: scan the roof from the ground for lifted or torn shingles, loose flashing, and fresh ceiling stains, and book a roof inspection if anything looks different.
    • Before winter: clear the eavestroughs, confirm downspouts drain away from the foundation, and keep soffits open so attic airflow stays balanced against ice dams.
    • Watch the attic: frost on the sheathing, damp insulation, or a musty smell usually signals a roofing or ventilation problem worth quick repairs.
    • On a flat roof: check for ponding water, blocked drains, open seams, and soft spots, since water lingers longer on low-slope roofs.
    • Once a year: book a professional roof inspection to catch small failures before water gets under the surface and turns into a costly repair.

I needed several windows replaced, a new side door, all siding / soffits / eaves / flashing replaced on the house, and the gables re-sided on my garage. D'Angelo's pricing was competitive - add to which, windows and doors are manufactured locally and working with a single service provider to coordinate all the activity rather than try to do that myself was really convenient.

D'Angelo and Sons did my roof last year and I was very pleased; they were well organized, came when scheduled and worked quickly. The roof looks great. This year, a storm damaged my roof. Carlos Vassallo came out and assessed the damage quickly and gave me an estimate. After dealing with the insurance company for months, we finally got the go ahead...

I am very pleased with the repair to my window capping that Steve F did today. He did excellent work and took the time to fix the problem and make it look fantastic. The problem was more complicated than it looked and he was careful to both protect my siding and windows as well as replace the capping perfectly. I would also like to thank the receptionist at D'Angelo...

We recently made the decision to fully replace our roof after losing many shingles to a windstorm. D'Angelo & Sons was very prompt in their response to our query and we had an appointment for an estimate a few days later. David was great; he was punctual and friendly. He patiently explained to us the condition of our roof and showed us pictures so we could see for ourselves. We feel secure in our decision in choosing D'Angelo & Sons for our new roof.

When we set out to replace our roof this year, we vowed not to make the same mistakes we did the first time. We researched, asked multiple questions, and Glenn was always there for us and happy to answer any questions we had. There are many, many roofers out there, and choosing D'Angelo was the best choice we could have made. The crew was pleasant and efficient, and also happy to answer any question. We would highly recommend D'Angelo to anyone that asks. I'll be calling Glenn in the spring to discuss our eaves and fascia!

My experience with D'Angelo and Sons was altogether positive. From my initial contact with Taylor, we were set up with an appointment with Josh two days later who gave us a full overview of what was needed and the cost. We had two other estimates and found D'Angelo to be comparable in price for the work that needed to be done. They estimated the project would start within 2-3 weeks dependent on weather and their projected timeline was accurate. Jenn was our project manager and she maintain a high level of communication with us throughout the project to ensure that we were aware of what was happening. From first contact with the company to the completion of the project, there was a high level of communication and transparency in the work they were doing. It's been almost 8 weeks since the project was complete and we've been through several significant weather events without issue. I appreciated the level of customer service that was provided by Taylor, Josh and Jenn (and roofing team) and their level of communication throughout the project.

My sincere thanks to Steve (Sales) for your patience with all our questions and Brad (PM) for keeping us in the loop every step of the way. Chad, you and your crew did a great job to get the siding replaced and the work area cleaned up, before our backyard birthday party as promised. Rocky - thanks for going the extra mile to make sure the lighting was done just right! This is our second project with D'Angelo & Sons, which again, was delivered the project on time and on budget. More important than the asthetic improvement from the new siding (which you were right about, Steve!), the house is noticably more comfortable inside, due to the air barrier and insulation added. If I hear of anyone looking for a good contractor for roofing or siding work, I will definitely recommend D'Angelo & Sons.

We had a massive project on our 3 storey 130year old Victorian Home. Roof replacement, siding, windows, soffits, fascia, eavestrough and other cladding and capping as required. The crews arrived on time, they worked safe at heights and steep roof pitches, they were kind & courteous, and cleaned up after each job was complete. As a home inspector, I found the workmanship to be top notch and would recommend them to any of my clients if they required work to their home.
