Vinyl Siding

Vinyl siding is a cost-effective, low-maintenance exterior treatment that comes in a wide range of colours and textures, often successfully imitating real wood or cedar shakes. Recent improvements in vinyl siding technology mean that the drawbacks of early vinyl, including its tendency to crack, warp, fade and buckle, are no longer an issue. Some vinyl siding is EnergyStar certified and its foam backing adds insulation value to your home–up to 4 times more than regular siding.

Vinyl siding can be a challenge to install to avoid warping, water penetration, particularly at the corners, and to minimize the visibility of overlapping pieces. D’Angelo & Sons uses top-quality siding and installs it with care to ensure many years of maintenance-free enjoyment.

Wood Siding

For those looking for a historically authentic and charming upgrade to their home’s appearance, D’Angelo & Sons also expertly installs wood siding. Unlike vinyl–which has only existed since the 50s and therefore hasn’t stood the full test of time–we know that properly maintained wood siding can last more than a lifetime. Horizontal board alignment options include wood clapboard or beveled siding, while vertical board alignment choices are board and batten or board on board. Customers can choose between pine or cedar. Once installed, customers can paint or stain the wood themselves or D’Angelo & Sons can refer you to a reputable company.

Aluminum Siding

Aluminum siding is a very effective low-maintenance surface treatment. Aluminum has some advantages over vinyl: it is less susceptible to temperature fluctuations, available in a greater array of colours and tends to be more colour-fast. Because of its tendency to dent, it is often recommended to install aluminum siding treatments on the upper storeys of your home rather than at ground level.

Soffit, Fascia, Eavestrough and Downspouts

If properly installed and regularly maintained, aluminum soffits, fascia, eavestrough and downspouts will protect your home from damage caused by moisture and animals.

D’Angelo & Sons uses top quality five inch, seamless, primary aluminum eavestrough and downspouts on all projects, with the option to upgrade to wider troughs and spouts if desired. Seamless aluminum eavestroughs are formed on-site to fit your home exactly. While no gutter system is completely seamless, a custom gutter made at your home will have minimal seams, which in turn minimizes the likelihood of weak points and leakage. We can also install a gutter guard to prevent the accumulation of leaves and other debris which cause precipitation to overflow and damage your home. D’Angelo & Sons also installs aluminum soffit and fascia, which is an attractive cure for the ongoing maintenance headache of wood and can improve under-eave ventilation and water run-off.
